In this first volume of the collective work of an important writer, humorist and critic, Kornel Foldvari, there is a manuscript published in the estate. The author prepared it for publication in 1970, but for political reasons the book did not come out. The first part is devoted to the detective genre, on which he later published a separate work. The second part is about westerns and literature about the Wild West, the third is about literary fiction, horror, comics, which the last part is devoted to adventure literature. The book forms a compact whole and its main idea is a celebration of reading, reading as an adventure, praise of quality adventure literature that motivates a person to read as a lifelong hobby.
