The study is devoted to the history and present status of emigrants from Dagestan and their descendants in Turkey. The mass departure or deportation of Lesgins and other Dagestan peoples, historically known as "mukhadzirstvo", began at the end of Caucasian war in late fifties of the XIXth century. It reached culmination in 1869-1878 and especially in 1899-1904 and 1910-1912. The reasons for which hundred thousands of people left their homes, the main features of tsarist Russia policy in North Caucasus and the fates of those who found in Turkey their second motherland are examined in the title. A lot of statistical data and photos will add.
