The Holodomor is a tragedy of such magnitude that it is extremely difficult to comprehend. The study of the famine of 1932–1933 in Ukraine can be approached in different ways - reading the works of historians or memoirs of ordinary people, studying collections of original documents, film and photo chronicles of those years. Perhaps the clearest understanding of the events of the Holodomor can be given simply by a consistent, day by day, list of facts and events that took place in the Ukrainian SSR in 1932–1933.
