The presented book is the first attempt at a systematic view of the history of the development of physical culture and sports on the territory of the modern Sverdlovsk region. The chronicle includes the most important events that took place either in the cities of the Middle Urals or with the participation of athletes from the region in 1885–2023. The main attention is paid to the events of the last century, during which state governing bodies for the physical culture and sports industry were created and successfully functioned in the region.
