Memories of friends, companions, colleagues and acquaintances of Larysa Petrivna Kosach-Kvitka (Lesia Ukrainka), which recreate different periods of her life, are collected under one cover. A bunch of testimonies of artists, scientists, journalists, public, cultural and political figures records bright moments of the short, modest and not very eventful earthly journey of the great woman. The character, civic and creative position, personal qualities, originality of lifestyle of the leading figure of Ukrainian culture are revealed through the experience and perception of contemporaries, albeit with varying degrees of objectivity. Thanks to the given evidence, the historical and literary process of the early modern period is clarified, in particular, which is especially noticeable, in the specifics of the artist’s relationship with her close circle and the wider community.
