The book includes the names of about 2,000 Cossacks, officers and civilians of the 80th Zyungar Kalmyk Regiment, who fought on the side of the White movement as part of the Don Army during the Civil War of 1918-1920. The book also includes stories of the writer of the Kalmyk diaspora Sanzhi Basanovich Balykov, articles, excerpts from books and memoirs of the Cossacks who served in the 80th Zyungar regiment.
