The book contains the documents of the Council to Aid Jews "ZEGOTA" at the Plenipotentiary of the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Jewish Section "ZEGOTA" Department of Internal Affairs of the Government Delegation to the Country. Most of the 60 published documents appear for the first time or have been very little known so far. The genesis of the "ZEGOTA" uprising, the specific variety of activities undertaken to save Jews, a new light of Polish-Jewish relations during the Second World War.
