Album-catalog about Tagil jewelers, father and son of Yuri and Sergei Matochkin. Yuri Matochkin is a stone-cutter and jeweler in Nizhny Tagil, from 1969 to 1979 he taught at the Ural School of Applied Arts. The main distinguishing feature of Yuri Matochkin's work is working with the Ural stone, he often uses raw stone, choosing brushes of minerals or individual crystals for his products, complements them with flowers carved from ornamental colored stone. Yuri Pavlovich brought up many students, talented jewelers. But the most important student was his son, Sergei Yuryevich Matochkin, according to the Museum of Arts. Yuri and Sergey Matochkin actively exhibit their jewelry at exhibitions. The artists have won many awards and prizes: the All-Russian competition of author's jewelry and stone-cutting art in Kaliningrad, the Khudoyarov city competition for the title of "Master of the Year". In 2014, father and son Matochkin were awarded the honorary award of the Carl Faberge Memorial Fund - the Small Order of Mikhail Evlampievich Perkhin for their contribution to the development of Russian jewelry art.
