In 1944, when the German occupying military power was already abandoned, however, the more active units of the assassins, the owners and the Chetniks were located in the area of southern Gorenjska, from Zirov through the upper part of the Poljanska valley to the village villages between Blegos and Porezni, a system of secrets of the Slovene schools. Since professional teachers were emigrated in the initial rescue yacht of the German occupier, while school buildings were occupied or burnt, most of the school-age children did not go to school for the third consecutive year. Many nine-year-olds did not even know how to read because they never crossed the school threshold. Thus, young people began to collect and educate children in organizing and professional support of the then authorities in the semi-liberated territories.
