"You can hear me now" is a novel in which two worlds intersect: Ukrainian and Turkish. Two childhoods, two silences from which a voice sprouts. The book explores the influence of traditions, fears, and social taboos on the formation of a woman in the family, in society, and in her own body. In the foreword, the author compares her childhood memories from L'viv and the Turkish mountains, where freedom often turns out to be only an illusion. The work is based on seven true stories of women from different regions of Turkey. Each of them is a separate peak, behind which there are hidden experiences of sexual and psychological violence, intergenerational conflicts, suppressed desires, and hope for change.
