The annual report is devoted to activities of the Glasnost Defense Foundation (GDF) in 1999. The book gives an idea of this Foundation as a human rights-defending non-commercial organization aiming to improve legal background for mass media and provide legal support for journalists. Special attention in the book is devoted to the report analyzing 1380 conflicts and torts connected with Mass Media activities in Russia.
