The two-volume “Year 1941. The country is on fire” is a kind of anthology, which contains the most important of previously entered into scientific research documents and materials that reflect the main stages and key events in the pre-war political crisis of the second half of the 1930-s, the measures of the Soviet State to strengthen its defensive capacity and its geo-strategic position on the eve of the German attack. The first book represents a collection of essays and reflects the main events leading to World War II.
