The two-volume “Year 1941. The country is on fire” is a kind of anthology, which contains the most important of previously entered into scientific research documents and materials that reflect the main stages and key events in the pre-war political crisis of the second half of the 1930-s, the measures of the Soviet State to strengthen its defensive capacity and its geo-strategic position on the eve of the German attack. The first book represents a collection of essays and reflects the main events leading to World War II. The second book (a collection of documents) includes the documents that reflect the course of military operations in lines of the Great Patriotic War in 1941 and the organization of a national resistance to the invaders.
