This collection of articles consists of two major sections. One section comprises materials of Kupala Readings headed "Ianka Kupala and Adam Mitskevich" held in Minsk (September 9th, 1998). The second section of the collection deals with the materials of the Second Readings in Rakov and dwells upon the research works devoted to the problem of cultural contacts of the ethnoses on the territory of Central and Eastern Europe. Appendix contains the works by Adam Mitskevich in translation done by Ianka Kupala.
