The photo-paintings from the collections of Mikhail Willie bear aesthetics of European civilization and are like no others oriented at ruins. Landscapes with ruins, tumbled-down walls, vacant ground with remains of columns - the photographer's object-glass admires the fulsome detail of all that carries the image of other culture. A huge amount of the collected glossy photos are arranged in several sections according to their belonging to each of the XIXth-century European countries and are enhanced by historical-artistic descriptions in both Russian and English.
