Sphere of scientific interests - the history of the North-Western Black Sea region, including Odessa. Author and co-author of more than 130 scientific works in publications of Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, as well as a number of scientific, popular science and fiction books. The readers' attention is offered a new work of art by Andrey Krasnozhon "Boilers", based on real events. The plot of the story is set in the USSR in the 1940s - 1960s. The main character, Nikolai Snegurko, by the will of fate finds himself in a whirlpool of events that throw him either into the Odessa catacombs as a guerrilla saboteur during the Second World War, then into the service of the Romanian invaders, then into the ranks of the Red Army, then into the NKVD and even into the Ural camps. ... But the main story is the story of one remarkable thing - German wristwatches ("boilers" - in the jargon of that time), which pass from one owner to another, radically influencing the fate of each of them.
