Witkacy (1885-1939) was a Polish writer, painter, philosopher, theorist, playwright, novelist, and photographer active before World War I and during the interwar period. He was not monogamous, he was not faithful, he did not promise love to death. He did not understand the word betrayal. He valued the brotherhood of souls as much as the pleasures of the flesh. An extraordinary writer, painter and scandalist, but also an exceptional womanizer. Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz had a gleam in his eye, a great weakness for the fair sex and an equally great temperament.
