The second book in the series "No Statute of Limitation" has been published, which tells about the crimes of the Nazis and their accomplices against the civilian population in the occupied territory of the Gomel region. The collection of documents and materials was prepared by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus with the participation of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian State Archive of Cinematographic and Photographic Documents, the State Archives of the Gomel Region and the State Archives of the Russian Federation. The book was published with the financial support of the Association of Historians of the Union State “Union Initiative of Memory and Consent” and the “Historical Memory” Foundation. The collection includes 150 documents, most of them are from the funds of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, the State Archives of the Gomel Region and the State Archives of the Russian Federation.
The publication includes two sections: "Nazi policy of genocide and scorched earth" and "Investigation of the crimes of the German occupiers." The first section publishes documents on crimes committed by the Nazis in the occupied territory of the Gomel region. Among them are wartime documents of two warring parties, German and Soviet. The second section includes documents on the establishment and investigation of the facts of the crimes committed. The compilers have prepared four appendices: "List of places of forced detention of civilians in the occupied territory of the Gomel region", "List of places of mass extermination of Jews in the occupied territory of the Gomel region", "List of the largest punitive operations carried out in the Gomel region in 1941-1944." and "List of rural settlements of the Gomel region, destroyed by the invaders in whole or in part." The publication is provided with comments, a geographical index, a list of abbreviated words and an illustrative block.
