The Roma in Bulgaria live in isolation, on the periphery of society and on the outer fringes of the cities due to their ethnicity. They are excluded from mainstream society just because they are Roma. Some of them are uneducated because those who implement the so-called "educational integration policies" forget that the goal should be to teach children of various ethnic groups to play, study and live together from an early age. Some Bulgarian Roma live in conditions which are unacceptable in a European country in the 21st century.
