V. von Den to his family, dated 1898–1905. 18 letters cover a short period of his service on a squadron battleship "Emperor Alexander III" during the Russo-Japanese War of 1904–1905. More precisely - a 7-month passage (from October to May) of the ships of the 2nd Pacific squadrons from Kronstadt to the Korea Strait.
