The collection dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory includes scientific articles on problems reflecting the historical, socio-political, cultural and other processes in the Far East of Russia and in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region during the Second World War (1939-1945). The authors of the collection examine the history of the war in a regional reflection on the basis of documents, most of which are first introduced into scientific circulation.
Also in the collection includes a corpus of documentary materials: memoirs and diary entries of eyewitnesses, a cycle of essays by special war correspondents of the «Tikhookeanskaya Zvezda» newspaper, which highlighted the course of the war with Japan with documentary accuracy, as well as leaflets in German published by the Political Administration of the Red Army for distribution in the army enemy.
