The collection mainly includes materials from reports presented at the All-Russian Scientific Conference “V. V. Vereshchagin: Art and Society" (October 22, 25-26, 2022), dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of V.V. Vereshchagin, the 183rd anniversary of the birth of N.V. Vereshchagin, the 210th anniversary The Patriotic War of 1812 and the 145th anniversary of the beginning of the Russian-Turkish War of 1877-1878. Vasily Vasilyevich Vereshchagin (26 October 1842 – 13 April 1904) was a Russian war artist. The graphic nature of his realist scenes led to many of them never being printed or exhibited.
