In the monograph an attempt to analyze the reasons for establishment and activity of the Volyn' Ukrainian Community (VUC) is made. The VUC was a party that functioned within the territory of the Volyn' region in 1931-1939. The authors concentrate their attention on the study of the VUC programs, the description of the main directions, forms and methods of its activity, analyze the cooperation of the VUC with the Polish administration and other political forces in the region and examine the results of the VUC work. Documents and materials from the archives of Ukraine and Poland, photos from the State Archives of the Volyn' region and from the Museum of the Polish Army in Warsaw are included in the book.
