The monograph by E.P. Kazakov continues his work on publishing materials from the monuments of the Volga–Kama region of the Turkic Khaganates and is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of his birth. The first volume focused on the Komintern II burial ground. The second volume of the series presents a study of the 9th Izmery burial ground, one of the largest explored sites of the Imenkovo archaeological culture in Tatarstan. Based on an analysis of cremation burials and grave goods, it sheds light on the ethnocultural connections, everyday life, and economy of both local and incoming populations in the second half of the 6th–7th centuries CE.
