The monograph Views of Slovenian Modernism brings research on literary creators from various literary movements and stylistic currents of modernism. The research field includes writers whose works were created within the horizon of new literary movements and currents, decadence, symbolism, new romanticism, impressionism and art nouveau, as well as those who at the turn of the century were still writing within the framework of realistic-naturalistic poetics: Ivan Cankar, Oton Zupancic, Fran Govekar, Izidor Cankar, Alojz Kraigher, Ljudmila Poljanec, Ivo Sorli, Fran S. Finzgar, Franc Ksaver Mesek, Rudolf Maister, Alojzije Remec and Kristina Suler. The uniqueness of this monograph is that, in addition to the national one, it also takes into account the multicultural and intercultural concept of Slovenian modern literature, limiting itself to Slovenian-German bi- and interculturality (Gusti (Jirku) Stridsberg, Ana Wambrechtsamer, Rudolf Hans Bartsch).
