Vasily Petrovich Tikhonov (1935-1998) was a designer of weapons and military equipment, candidate of Technical Sciences, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences (RARAN), the author of more than 200 inventions, laureate of the Lenin Prize and the State Prize of the USSR, Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation, three times laureate of the S.I. Mosin, Honored Inventor of the Russian Federation.
