Varvara Ivanovna Brusilova (nee Kotlyarevskaya, 1899-1937) was noblewoman, journalist, translator, daughter-in-law of General Brusilov; was sentenced to death three times by the Soviet authorities, in the 1920s., she was called "Orthodox Jeanne d'Arc."
