Valentin Gubarev's works are well known to art connoisseurs not only in Belarus but also far beyond its borders. They have successfully participated in Christie’s auctions in London, Jaschen and Drouot Richelieu in Paris, Kinsky in Vienna, and have been exhibited in Switzerland, Germany, France, the USA, and Russia. In 1994, the Galerie Bertheas in Paris signed an exclusive contract with him. The artist's works decorated the interiors of the Belarusian pavilion at the World Expo in Shanghai.
The heroes of his paintings - naive, funny, ridiculous, dreaming of a "beautiful life" - come from Belarusian towns and villages. And each work of the artist is a small, full of irony, witty story about them.
Valentin Gubarev is a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists, Honorary Member of the Masterpiece Association (Germany). Today his works are in the funds of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the Museum of Art of St. Petersburg of the XX-XXI centuries (Russia), the Zimmerli Art Museum (USA), Galerie Bertheas (France), ProArt Gallery (Dubai, UAE) and others , decorate private collections in Belarus, Russia, the USA, Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Japan, Israel.
