The collection of documents consists of texts written during the years of the Second World War. All more or less informative documents from the Lithuanian archives have been included in the collection. Thanks to these documentary materials the reader will feel the spirit, the mood and the ideological orientation of those times. The documents, among other subjects, acquaint the readers with causes and conditions leading to the creation of separate partisan units and their activity, The documents also highlight the resistance in the villages and towns which so far has been elucidated in Lithuanian historiography.
