This vividly illustrated album acquaints with the artist's paintings and with his life through his memoirs and memoirs of his friends and family members. Petr Konchalovsky (1876-1956) belongs to the Russian Avant-Garde alongside with such famous artists as Kandinsky and Malevich. Rejecting the realism of late nineteenth century Russian painting, they sought to "restore simplicity and clear color of art."
