Yekaterina Furtseva, who was born 100 years ago, was the first Soviet woman at the highest positions in the leadership of the USSR. In the 1950's and 1960's she was not only the country's Minister of culture, but also a member of the Politburo. She became a symbol of changes in the official Soviet culture after Stalin's death. The book is illustrated with rare photos from family archives.
