The monograph studies peculiarities of legal regulation of university education in the Russian Empire. The author focuses attention on the few hundreds of legal statutes addressed to definite universities, adopted according to the initiative and on the means of the state, and studies the level of that statutes, its forms, meaning, systematization, defines the main substantial lines of legal regulation, among which pays special attention to universities management.
