Ivan Laluha (born 1932) is a Slovak historian, sociologist, in 1968 a supporter of the reform movement in the Communist Party of Slovakia, after the Velvet Revolution a Czechoslovak politician for the Public against Violence, later the Movement for Democratic Slovakia, a member of the Chamber of the People of the Federal Assembly, the Slovak National Council (after the establishment of independent Slovakia a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic). In the book, historian Vlasta Jaksicsova, in the form of a dialogue with the main protagonist of the book, Professor Ivan Laluha, offers the reader a vivid picture of his biographical, personal and political profile against the background of key moments of social and historical events of the last century with an impact on the present, in which he was not only a direct participant, but also a co-actor.
