The image of Our Lady of the Sign is one of the oldest Orthodox Novgorod shrines. The icon was created in the second quarter of the 12th century and was kept in the Cathedral of the Sign until 1934. After that, she entered the Novgorod Museum, and since 1991 she has been in the St. Sophia Cathedral.
