The collection includes works dedicated to the tragic events of the Great Patriotic War and the current understanding of those difficult trials in national history. The events of the story "Under the Cover of Heaven" unfold in March 1944 in the death camp near Azarichy. The main character only dared to tell about the horror he experienced in adulthood. Temporal layers are also interspersed in the story "Saint Paraskeva": any reminder of the war is a terrible pain for the heroine of the story. The stories help today's generations, who grew up under a peaceful sky, to understand what "values" inhuman fascism actually brought to us, Belarusians and Slavs.
