Parliamentarism forms the basis of every democratic political system. The author of the presented monograph makes an attempt to conduct research on this phenomenon. The author focuses his attention on theoretical problems, history of development and constitutional-legal basis of modern Ukrainian parliamentarism and the legislative process. The questions of the Parliament forming, its place in the system of governmental bodies are considered in this monograph. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the authorities of the Supreme Rada (Parliament of Ukraine). The establishment and activity of Parliament in the situation of further democratization and civil society's formation, its cooperation with political parties and non-governmental organizations is also discussed.
