As neighboring nations, Ukrainians and Poles knew times of peace and times of war, peaceful coexistence, cooperation, but also many conflicts and misunderstandings. Each side has "its truth". It is these misunderstandings (often mythologized and demonized, or even specially "warmed up" by a third party) that have led to the formation of negative images of each other in the minds of these peoples. And although this negativism has diminished in recent years, it has not disappeared and often makes itself felt. It is impossible to cover all aspects of Ukrainian-Polish relations in one book in one book. The author tried to draw attention to the most important, in his view, the moments in this relationship, trying to speak in a balanced way about both understanding and misunderstanding.
