The collection includes documents and materials that reflect the participation of Ukrainian nationalists in the struggle against Nazism. The published texts illustrate different stages in the development of the Ukrainian liberation movement: the period of armed confrontation with Nazism, during which the UN members became one of the first in Europe – immediately after the outbreak of World War II; resistance to the occupation regime in Ukraine and the struggle for survival in Nazi prisons and concentration camps; as well as state-building activities in exile, in the ranks of the World League of Ukrainian Political Prisoners (SLUPV). The publication is based on organizational reports, memoirs of former prisoners of Hitler's prisons and concentration camps, documents on the life and work of SLUPV, lists of nationalists killed in the fight against Nazism and those political prisoners who survived and continued selfless work in the UPA and armed underground.OUN, as well as in places of compact resettlement of Ukrainians abroad.
