Based on a number of sources the monograph investigates development, driving force and mechanism of creation of the Ukrainian national movement in the 1920s-1930s. The phenomenon of the Ukrainian nationality and its ideology are analyzed, the relations between Ukrainian, Russian and Soviet national identities are considered. The book suggests a new opinion on many national, cultural, religious and political processes, which took place in Ukraine, and elucidate the prospects of the Russian-Ukrainian relations.
