The publication is based on the proceedings of the International Conference of 2000 devoted to the problems of bilateral cooperation of Ukraine and Slovakia. The conference is the part of the international project "Ukraine - Slovakia: Transformation Problems and Prospects of Cooperation". Issues covered in the book are as follows: problems of reforming of political and economic systems of both the countries, prospects of cooperation with the EU, reasons to introduce the visa regime and its influence on the national minorities of Ukraine.
