Dara Korniy is a Ukrainian novelist. Winner of the third "Coronation of the Word" prize for the novel "Honykhmarnyk" (2010). Laureate of the award of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine named after Lesya Ukrainka for the book "Magical Creatures of Ukrainian Myth" in 2021. Her first major work was published by the Club of Family Leisure in 2010. It was the novel "Honykhmarnyk", written in the genre of urban fantasy. The novel brought the author the third prize of the 2010 "Coronation of the Word" literary contest in the "novel" category, was awarded the "Debut of the Year" award from the "Reader's Friend" publication and became the laureate of the "PORTAL-2011" science fiction assembly prize - "Self-discovery" named after Volodymyr Savchenko . After the publication of her first novel, Dara Korniy received the unofficial title of "Ukrainian Stephenie Mayer." The second major work of the author of "Because You Are" is "The Choice of Publishers" in the "Coronation of Words - 2011" contest. It is also written in the urban fantasy genre. The third novel, The Other Side of the Light, is a Publishers' Choice in the 2012 Coronation of Words competition. At the "Publishers' Forum - 2012" it was actively bought at the "Coronation of the Word" stand.
