The day 4 October 1824 was set by the county assembly in Trnava as the day for the ceremonial establishment of the first Regional Hospital in Slovakia, and at the same time the foundation stone for its construction was laid. 2024 will be the bicentenary of the foundation of the Trnava hospital. In the book of memories the author would like to contribute to this important jubilee not only as a doctor, a resident of Trnava, but also as a Slovak writer. It not only commemorates the establishment of the hospital, its important directors, doctors, nurses of all 31 departments, but also the memory of important events and personalities who contributed not only to the development of the hospital from 1824 until now. He also mentions those doctors who emigrated during totalitarianism, as well as important cultural institutions, cultural and sports personalities of Trnava, whom he met as a doctor during his 53 years of work in Trnava.
