The monograph of E. Maleto, candidate of historical sciences, is devoted to the travel notes of Russian pilgrims, diplomats, merchants and travelers. These notes have become a valuable source of information concerning Germany, Egypt, Byzantium, Italy, Palestine and other countries as they reflect the impressions of travelers on the places they visited.
