In the first, the writer mentions his childhood in the village of Trach in the Carpathians, the magical nature of this region; about his father - a village teacher; a grandmother in whom only one of the three sons survived; about his brother Eugene, who lived for a decade in the hell of Leninist-Stalinist concentration camps; about his hopes for the independence of Ukraine… The second book of memoirs "On the Margins" consists of five notebooks, in which R. Ivanychuk turned to his previously unrealized plans, contained answers to questions from journalists and letters.
