The book deals with theoretical and sociopolitical aspects of nationalism. On the example of ideology of Bashkir, Tatar, and Russian nationalism the author analyses typical and specific features of the phenomenon. Particular attention is paid to ideological positions of intellectual ethnic elite. Modern methods of sociopolitical analysis allowed to study a wide range of sources such as documents of nationalist parties and organizations, articles, periodicals.
