The author goes deeply into the foundations of traditional world ideas of the Russian old residents of the Khakass-Minusinsk Krai (Chaldons) about folk magic and some of mythological worldviews that occupy a considerable part in their unique traditional culture. Field and ethnographical materials (1995-2005) underlie Prishchepa's attempt in systematization of the insufficiently studied folk beliefs as well as in determination of common basis and peculiarities of local variability of traditional beliefs of the Khakass-Minusinsk Krai.
