The present edition includes articles devoted to historical and ethno-cultural problems of Eastern Asia. Chronologically the contents of the articles cover the period from ancient times to the present day. Russian scholars and their colleagues from China, Korea, Mongolia and the USA have taken part in the work on the second volume of the studies (the first one was issued in 1995). The third issue contains reports delivered at the conference "Far-Eastern Meridian of the Russian Culture". Archaeological and ethnographic problems are the key issues of the conference.
