Historian Daniela Dvorakova says that she would not like to live in the Middle Ages, perhaps precisely because she knows so much about this period. The interviews conducted with her by Denisa Gura Doricova and Tomas Galis focus on the period of the late Middle Ages in our territory - in Hungary -, i.e. the end of the XIVth century and the XVth century, and more than the history of events and wars, they deal with the history of everyday life and human stories. The book Traces of the Middle Ages makes the life of people from different social strata accessible to the reader. Monarchs, clergy, townspeople, nobility, scholars, doctors, peasants and subjects appear in it. Men, women and children. It tells about their daily habits and activities, about the animals that kept them company, about the country in which they spent their days, about borders and maps, about travel, food, health, education and about the weather.
