The book comprises comprehensive information on historical towns of the Tver Region, from the former uyezd centers to suburbs and several villages. Apart from the analysis of the town structure, the study comprises description of the main stages of town-formation. Typological and stylistic peculiarities of urban development are studied basing on historical urban maps, archival sketches, old post-cards, as well as contemporary photos.
