A brief history of education and the mournful pages of the life of the population of the Pukhovichi district. This is the name of the new book by Vladimir Belousov, dedicated to the history, people and heroes of the Pukhovichi district. She continues the conversation started by Vladimir Belousov in his book “Live and Remember,” which tells about the fate and exploits of the internationalist soldiers of the Pukhov region.
Vladimir Petrovich is a famous person in the area. A retired colonel, an internationalist warrior, author of several collections of prose and poetry, he lives in Maryina Gorka and is the chairman of the Minsk regional organization of the Belarusian Union of Officers ’public association. The first pages of the book tell about the history and historical and cultural heritage of the Pukhovichi district. Here, historical places and sights of the Pukhov region are vividly and objectively shown. The book documented and well illustrated 190 monuments, memorials, mass graves and burials of the fallen soldiers of the Red Army, partisans of the Pukhovichi region in the fight against Nazi invaders, as well as residents of the area who were shot and burned by the Nazis.
